Did you know you can register to vote completely online? You will need your:

  • RI drivers license/ID number

  • full legal name 

  • date of birth and SSN

Any registered voter can apply to receive a ballot by mail: no reason required! Be sure to request yours at least 21 days before an election.

ELECTION DATES

Deadline to Register for General Election:
     Sun, October 6 by 4:00 pm

Deadline to Request a Mail Ballot:
     Tues, October 15 by 4:00 pm

Statewide General Election:
     Tues, November 5 (7:00 am to 8:00 pm)

NOTICE: Effective June 1, 2024, unaffiliated (independent) voters who cast a vote in a party primary election will be automatically disaffiliated after voting. You will not be affiliated with the party whose primary you voted in. Please contact the Board of Canvassers or Secretary of State's office for more information.
